Starting December 27, Aldi will introduce a strict two-bottle limit per customer on a popular drink across its UK stores.
The restriction will last until December 31, and applies to Aldi’s Crémant De Loire sparkling wine – which Aldi is putting on sale, sending the price from £8.99 to £4.99 ($11.29 to $6.27).
This allows customers to purchase two bottles for a total of £9.98, ideal for post-Christmas and New Year celebrations. Aldi is enforcing this rule to ensure fair access during the holiday season. The significant 44% discount is expected to create a shopping frenzy. Following its endorsement as the “steal of the season” by The Times’ wine critic Jane MacQuitty, Aldi is preparing for an extraordinary surge in demand.

The Specially Selected Crémant De Loire, part of Aldi’s Autumn Winter collection, has been praised for its “mouthwatering, creamy, honey flecked, quince and golden apple fruit” flavors. According to Aldi executives, the two-bottle limit aims to give more customers the chance to celebrate the New Year with this acclaimed Crémant.
Aldi UK’s Managing Director of Buying, Julie Ashfield, has stated: “We want everyone to be able to raise a glass of quality wine this festive period, without breaking the bank. By lowering the price of our exquisite Crémant De Loire to just £4.99 and introducing a two-bottle limit, we’re ensuring more customers can experience this exceptional sparkling wine at an unbelievable price.”, reports the Mirror.
