You can print out your WhatsApp chats, whether you want to keep them as happy reminders or sources of evidence. Either way, it is a straightforward procedure.

- First open the conversation you want to print.
- In Android, tap “More” in the three-dot menu at the top right. If you have an iPhone, press the name of the WhatsApp contact instead.
- Next, select the “Export chat” option and decide whether you want to print the chat with or without media, meaning images.
- Next, tap on what you want to use to export the file, such as your email programme.
The email you then send contains a ZIP file with the images and a TXT file with the text form of the chat that you can download and print out from a printer.

If you’re only looking to save a quick image of one brief moment in a chat, then a quick screenshot will of course be enough. On Android, press the power and volume down button at the same time. On an iPhone, press the side button and the volume up button.
