A Carnival Cruise passenger has been hit by a ban after sharing her money-saving hack on social media, according to cruise industry media reports.

Krissy Kross took to TikTok to share how she saves money on water by refilling a 1.5-liter bottle from her suite’s bathroom faucet and resealing it with glue. The video has since gone viral, amassing more than a million views.
But now she is banned for life from Carnival Cruise Line, CruiseRadio reported this week.
In the video, she is seen taking the tag off of an unopened bottle of water and placing it around the neck of the tampered bottle before placing it back on the shelf.

The video was captioned, “I ain paying allat [sic]” with two crying emojis, alluding to the notable rising costs of bottled water. The price for a 12-pack of 16.9-ounce bottles has surged from $4.95 to $14.95 in less than two years, which is over a 202 percent increase.
Users took to the comments of the viral video to raise concerns about the safety and integrity of bottled water onboard.
“I see in comments you said this was a joke *skull emoji* I hope it was if not don’t go if you’re that cheap bc it’s nasty,” one user commented.

Another wrote: “That’s trifling.”
While a third said: “If you can’t afford the water stay at home.”
While the woman later claimed the video was intended as a joke, the company still issued an indefinite ban.
John Heald, a company brand Ambassador, confirmed to the radio station that the passenger has been banned for life from cruising with the line.
