Robert De Niro Takes a Stand

Actor Robert De Niro, a staunch critic of Trump, recently participated in a Democratic Party press conference near the New York courthouse.

“I love this city, I don’t want to destroy it. Donald Trump doesn’t just want to destroy this city, he wants to destroy the country, and ultimately, he could destroy the world,” De Niro passionately declared.

Hollywood Rallies for Biden

Joining De Niro in his support for Joe Biden are several other high-profile celebrities. Tom Hanks, dubbed “Hollywood Daddy,” has been an active supporter.

In 2022, Hanks lent his iconic voice to a Biden administration commercial, emphasizing American resilience and countering criticisms from Trump supporters.

“Nationwide, more jobs were created in 2021 than in any of the last 80 years. We are stronger than we were a year ago,” Hanks asserted.

The pro-Biden camp also includes actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, singer Lady Gaga, pop star Beyoncé, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, and Bruce Springsteen, affectionately known as “The Boss.”

These celebrities have consistently backed Biden, leveraging their influence to bolster his campaign.

Trump’s Celebrity Supporters

While Biden enjoys robust support from Hollywood’s A-listers, Trump’s celebrity endorsements are more subdued and less mainstream.

Kanye West, who has had a tumultuous relationship with Trump, remains one of his most notable supporters despite a history of disagreements and controversial statements.

In a 2023 interview on Tim Pool’s Timcast, Kanye, now legally known as Ye, reiterated his support for Trump, albeit with reservations about Trump’s truthfulness.

Another vocal supporter is rapper Sexyy Red, who praised Trump for his criminal justice reforms and financial support to the Black community. “Hey honey, we love Trump. We need him back in power,” she remarked this fall.

Jon Voight, Angelina Jolie’s father, has been a consistent Trump supporter, believing that only Trump can save the nation from its current state of division.

“The only man who can save this nation, the man who was ridiculed and destroyed, like Jesus,” Voight proclaimed.

Other Trump allies include Dennis Quaid, comedian James Woods, country singer Jason Aldean, and Jim Caviezel, who famously portrayed Jesus in Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ.”

A Divided Hollywood

The entertainment industry’s political landscape remains divided, with many artists refraining from public endorsements. President Joe Biden’s policies, particularly in the Middle East and his handling of the Israeli crisis, have caused rifts even within Hollywood, a traditionally Democratic stronghold.

Meanwhile, Trump’s persistent claims of a stolen 2020 election and his recent conviction in the Stormy Daniels case further complicate celebrity endorsements.

Among those who have stayed notably silent this election cycle is Taylor Swift. While Swift supported Biden in 2020, she has not endorsed any candidate this year.

However, she has made her disdain for Trump’s policies clear in the past, adding another layer of intrigue to the unfolding electoral drama.
