Lotus Espirit Submarine
Finally, perhaps the quirkiest expenditure of the multi-billionaire was the Lotus Espirit Submarine from the 1977 James Bond Film “The Spy Who Loved Me.” The watercraft allegedly cost him over $900,000 at auction. While the nearly million-dollar sub is not actually functional, Musk has said he hopes to get it working in the future.
