Bottoms – Feb 13
Hands down one of the most hilarious movies of 2023, I couldn’t help but love this satirical teen comedy from director Emma Seligman (Shiva Baby). It’s the type of bonkers comedy with no restraint that comes along all too rarely.
Bottoms stars Rachel Sennott (Bodies Bodies Bodies) as PJ and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) as Josie, two lesbian high school seniors and best friends who decide to start a fight club as a way to strike up romantic relationships with cheerleaders.
There was nothing else like it last year, hearkening back to the days of Superbad—think of Bottoms as its (very) weird cousin. It’ll leave you in stitches.
Candyman (2021) – Feb 13

Coming to Prime Video as part of the Freevee channel, Nia DaCosta’s (The Marvels) supernatural slasher was highly anticipated back in 2021, and why wouldn’t it be? It was billed as a direct sequel to the 1992 movie of the same name, one of the most respected genre movies of that decade in horror circles.
An artist seeking inspiration (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) begins to take an interest in Candyman, the legend of a hook-handed murderer said to stalk the housing projects of Cabrini-Green. Unfortunately, his investigation turns up way more than he bargained for as he realizes he’s primed to become the next victim. I was really impressed with this one and it’s a worthy follow-up to one of the nineties’ best chillers.
Five Blind Dates – Feb 13
This brand-new 2024 Prime Video Original Movie is a rom-com about Lia (Shuang Hu), a woman in her twenties feeling lost, that is, until she encounters a fortune teller and is told one of her next five dates will be her soulmate.
We follow her on each five of the dates as we have fun scrambling to predict which one will be the love of her life.
Expect to have tons of fun. We recommend checking this out on Valentine’s Day.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – Feb 13
The Mission: Impossible franchise is one bursting with action highlights, and now I’m reminiscing, the fifth installment Rogue Nation has a lot of them.
Released in 2015, this exhilarating blockbuster sees Tom Cruise reprise his iconic role as Ethan Hunt, and this time he’s on the run from the CIA while doing everything in his power to prove the existence of a deadly terrorist outfit known as The Syndicate.
Everything from the ultra-tense underwater sequence to that jaw-dropping motorcycle chase… behind Fallout, it’s my favorite in the series.
Fruitvale Station – Feb 14
Before Ryan Coogler made the monumental superhero blockbuster Black Panther, he directed the 2013 biographical drama Fruitvale Station, coming to Freevee this week.

Based on the events leading up to the 2009 death of 22-year-old African-American Oscar Grant, the movie stars Michael B. Jordan (Creed) as a man waking up and attempting to make his life better for himself and those he loves.
Michael gives a heartbreaking performance, and the devastating final act is unshakeable in the way only powerful cinema can be.
Dark Harvest – Feb 16
Directed by David Slade, the American film Dark Harvest blends fantasy and horror to tell the story of a group of teenagers who discover that a supernatural presence plagues their midwestern town, emerging every fall.
Based on Norman Patridge’s 2006 novel of the same name, it’s an imaginative and entertaining ride that’s likely to resonate with fans of shows like Riverdale or the stories of Stephen King.
This Is Me…Now: A Love Story – Feb 16

Arguably the major Prime Video Original Movie of the week, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story is an experimental reimagining of musical and screen icon Jennifer Lopez‘s love life.
Released as a tie-in with her ninth studio album This Is Me… Now released on the same day, the trailer had fans pretty much lost for words, in awe of the ambition and scope but left questioning whether what they’d just seen was even real. Well, it sure is.
