Former president Donald Trump and Majorie Taylor Green, Republican representative of Georgia, have been accused of “breaking the law” at New Hampshire primary polling stations. Angry users on X, formerly Twitter, claimed that Trump was violating voting laws by electioneering, which is any act intended to wrongfully influence a voter’s decision.

According to the New Hampshire Municipal Association, all candidates and their representatives are banned from posting campaign materials within voting stations or performing any activities that could affect the safety and well-being of voters within 10 feet of the polling station entrance.
Trump was recorded shouting “Don’t waste your time. Get in and vote” to the crowd. One enthusiastic supporter even said they had skipped work to see Trump.
“Isn’t there a law about electioneering at polling stations in New Hampshire,” asked David Badash. Another user wondered: “Could this be considered voter intimidation? I mean what they’re laws about how close they can get to people at a voting facility?” [SIC]
On the other side, some folks are accusing Nikki Haley of breaking the same rules by showing up at polling stations with Granite State Governor Chris Sununu.
Last month, the governor gave Haley his official thumbs-up, saying she “is the candidate with the momentum to win and get our party back on track to delivering conservative victories across the country. She’s answered our questions and built trust.”

An ABC news anchor reported that the attorney general’s office was getting lots of calls about electioneering in New Hampshire. Roger Gorden said supporters were sticking campaign logos on water bottles and giving them to voters in the queue.
“It’s a violation of ‘electioneering laws’,” one person commented. “Trump is certainly violating that law if it exists but then again he doesn’t follow any laws in our country cuz he’s running to be a dictator,” another user claimed. This comes just a week after Trump celebrated a big win in the Iowa caucuses.
