A good skincare routine: Establish a consistent skincare routine that includes gentle cleansing, exfoliation, and moisturizing. Look for products containing ingredients like retinol, hyaluronic acid, peptides, vitamin C, and antioxidants, as they can help promote collagen production and improve skin elasticity. I use a Retin-A product to keep my skin looking young. I found an online company that prescribes and mails out tretinoin & latisse at A DISCOUNT (Use Code: ZIPPY at checkout)

  1. Sun protection: This is a no-brainer and something you’ve probably heard over and over again. The #1 way that you GET wrinkles is from sun exposure (age is the second). Protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun by wearing sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher daily, even on cloudy days. Sun exposure can accelerate the formation of wrinkles, so it’s crucial to shield your skin from UV rays.
  2. Healthy lifestyle habits: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can contribute to the overall health and appearance of your skin. Get enough sleep, as inadequate sleep can lead to increased signs of aging. Stay hydrated (remember what mom said “water on the inside, water on the outside”, eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and omega-3 fatty acids, and limit alcohol consumption and smoking, as they can damage the collagen and elastin fibers in your skin.
  3. Dermal fillers and injectables: These minimally invasive procedures involve injecting substances like hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin into specific areas to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Dermal fillers add volume to areas like nasolabial folds or lips, while injectables like Botox can relax the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. I recently had Juvederm Ultra put into my nasolabial folds and stuck to my guns about only having ONE syringe and it made a huge difference.
  4. Chemical peels: Performed by a dermatologist, chemical peels involve applying a chemical solution to the skin, which exfoliates the outer layer, revealing smoother and rejuvenated skin beneath. This can help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  5. Laser therapy: Laser resurfacing treatments can target wrinkles by stimulating collagen production and removing damaged skin layers. Fractional laser treatments are popular options, as they deliver precise results while minimizing downtime. I did a 3-session three for me therapy using BOTH types of lasers. Gone are my age/sun spots, my skin is brighter, tighter, and looks like I’ve aged backward. It is not inexpensive (I had non-fractional) and the cost was $1650 – HOWEVER the results should last 5-7 years, so when I cost averaged it, it came to a lot less than going to the hairdresser for 2½ years (and my skin is MORE important to me than my hair).
  6. Microneedling: This procedure involves using a device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. It stimulates collagen production and can improve the appearance of wrinkles over time. My Medspa nurse suggested this as well and even told me to do it at home.
  7. Your skin takes a lot of abuse from the elements, your diet, and more. It’s time to face the world with great-looking skin.
  8. FYI: It’s worth noting that results may vary depending on the severity of the wrinkles and individual factors. Consulting with a dermatologist or skincare professional can help you determine the best course of action for your specific needs.
