According to an ABC News/Washington Post poll, a record number of Americans are worse off under Biden’s presidency, and nearly 75% said Biden is too old to be president.
The poll gave Donald Trump a commanding 51-42 lead over the aging sitting president.

Overall, more Americans disapprove of Biden’s job in the White House than approve, to the tune of 56% to 37%, respectively.
Even through Trump’s legal troubles, polls find the controversial former president in prime position to run again in 2024. Though 38% of voters approved of Trump’s presidency when he left office in January 2021, 48% now say they approved of Trump’s performance when he occupied the White House.

While polling numbers are often far from the truth, it paints an interesting picture for the 2024 presidential elections. Trump appears to have a better shot than many predicted or even hoped he would have.
“He is favored by 54 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, little changed from 51 percent in May,” writes the Washington Post. DeSantis, who looked promising several months ago, has quickly fallen in polling numbers.

“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is second at 15 percent, down from 25 percent in May. No other Republican reaches double digits.”

Biden is struggling in two primary areas: The economy and immigration. It also doesn’t help the sitting president’s cause with his repeated gaffs, mistakes, and strange behavior, bringing the president’s age and cognitive abilities into question.

On the contrary, Donald Trump has used his legal troubles to bolster his base by playing the victim and charging up his Republican stronghold.
