A guaranteed income program in Wisconsin will issue its latest payment, worth $500, to recipients in a little less than a week.

The payments are from the Madison Forward Fund, which sends monthly payments to recipients on the first day of every month. A total of 155 households in Madison, Wisconsin, receive these payments every month, and they are free to spend the money in any way they see fit.

Payments are typically issued on the first day of the month. However, due to July 1 being on a Saturday, this program’s July payment is being issued a day earlier on Friday, June 30, the program manager told the Washington Examiner.

The manager also said that the program will last for one year, with the first payment issued in September of last year. The final payment will be sent to recipients this August.

To have been eligible for this payment, a recipient had to be a resident of Madison, Wisconsin, be at least 18 years old, and have at least one child living with them who is 17 years old or younger.

Additionally, recipients needed to have an annual income of less than 200% of the federal poverty level, which can vary depending on how many people live in the household. A household of two, for example, could make no more than $36,620 every year, while a household of eight could make no more than $93,260 annually.

Every six months, recipients will be asked to complete online surveys, which take about 30 minutes to complete. The answers recipients give on the surveys are completely confidential, and recipients will be compensated $30 for every survey they complete.
