A Tesla Cybertruck owner has disclosed the total amount he’s spent charging his vehicle over six months.
Bilal Sattar, who has driven his Cybertruck approximately 10,000 miles since acquiring it, posted his electric costs on social media, revealing that he spent a mere $573.55 on charging.

To put this into perspective, Sattar estimated that covering the same distance in a gasoline-powered vehicle, assuming a fuel price of $4 per gallon, would have set him back around $2,391.74.
This equates to a saving of over $1,800 in fuel expenses. The figures, sourced directly from the Tesla app, provide a breakdown of his charging costs for 2023.

Sattar’s economical charging expenditure could be partly attributed to his savvy charging practices.
Based on his social media updates, he frequently uses free charging stations and solar energy to power his vehicle home, significantly cutting down his electricity bills.
While these savings are noteworthy, they may not accurately represent the typical experience of all-electric vehicle owners.

Many EV drivers encounter higher charging costs due to local electricity rates and the availability of free or inexpensive charging stations.
However, this isn’t the first instance of Tesla drivers reporting financial advantages.
A couple in the US who own two Teslas recently revealed that their switch to electric vehicles resulted in significant savings on their household electricity bills, even though they regularly charge both cars.
The pair drives a Tesla Model Y and a Model 3 Long Range. Despite frequently charging both vehicles, they have noticed a decrease in their electricity bill compared to when they used petrol-fueled cars.
Even during summer, when air conditioning use typically increases, their energy costs remain surprisingly low.
