Returns We Might See At WWE Crown Jewel

With only two PLEs remaining on the calendar in 2024, WWE is gearing up for Crown Jewel. While the buildup for this year’s event hasn’t exactly set the wrestling world on fire, WWE has always put on a grand spectacle with their Saudi shows, and is setting the stage for some shocking moments and potential comebacks with this year’s event.

This week’s Monday Night Raw was wild, capped off by a huge surprise and a title change.

With previous editions featuring epic returns and surprise appearances that left fans buzzing, this year, the event seems ripe for some of WWEs biggest stars to make a statement or even reignite rivalries. Here are 5 potential returns that could shake up the landscape at WWE Crown Jewel 2024.

Goldberg’s Looking For His Final Match

Could Have His Eyes Set On Gunther Vs. Cody Rhodes

  • Goldberg had a confrontation with Gunther at Bad Blood
  • Has previously had high-profile matches in Saudi vs. The Undertaker and Bobby Lashley
  • Wants one more match to officially close out his wrestling career

Rumors are swirling about Goldberg possibly showing up at Crown Jewel. His unexpected return at WWE Bad Blood earlier this month lit up the WWE Universe, reminding fans of the explosive energy and intensity he brings to the ring.

Goldberg has made it known that he wants one last match. Will an encounter with Gunther at Bad Blood lead to that?

Goldbergs last WWE appearance wasnt just a nostalgic moment – it hinted at unfinished business and a potential final storyline for the wrestling legend. Having confronted the current WWE World Champion at Bad Blood, he’d likely show up to either cost Gunther the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship, or set up a challenge following his match with Cody Rhodes.

Logan Paul Hasn’t Been Seen In A Long While

Could The Maverick Be Saudi-Bound?

  • Logan Paul was last seen at WWE SummerSlam
  • Has main-evented Saudi shows twice Vs. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes
  • Defeated Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel 2023 to win the US Championship

Saudi Arabia like themselves some Logan Paul, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see The Maverick make an appearance at the PLE. WWE fans haven’t seen him since he lost his US Championship to LA Knight at SummerSlam, but this seems like a big enough event (with a big enough pay day…) for him to make his return.

It’s unclear what his intentions might be, but look for Logan Paul to be inserted into a significant program if he does indeed make his comeback.

Becky Lynch Could Make Her Grand Return In The Women’s Crown Jewel Championship Match

When The Man Comes Around

  • Becky Lynch’s last PLE appearance was in Saudi Arabia for King & Queen Of The Ring
  • Lost her Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan
  • Has history with both Morgan and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax

WWE has seriously missed The Man’s star power ever since she went on hiatus in May earlier this year. While her status is officially unknown, it’s hard to imagine Becky Lynch not being involved with WWE when she does decide to make her return to the ring. And what better way to do that than to make her presence known in the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship match?

With Seth Rollins also back in the mix in WWE and competing at Crown Jewel against Bronson Reed, his wife could hop along on the plane ride and cause some mischief.

Paul Heyman Could Re-Insert Himself Into The Bloodline Saga

The OG Bloodline Need Their Wiseman

The last time WWE fans saw Paul Heyman, he refused to acknowledge the self-appointed Tribal Chief of the New Bloodline, Solo Sikoa. Poor Heyman suffered for his disobedience, getting destroyed by The Bloodline and being put through a table.

Paul Heyman is one of the more polarizing figures amongst both fans and his peers. Here are wrestlers Heyman loved in real life, and others he hated.

With Roman Reigns back in WWE and looking to re-form his Bloodline, now is the perfect time for The Wiseman to make his return alongside his one, only and Original Tribal Chief. The stage is set at Crown Jewel for some match involving The Bloodline, so expecting a Heyman return is a solid bet.

Brock Lesnar Could Make His Return & Confront Gunther

The Beast Incarnate Hasn’t Been Seen In Over A Year

Brock Lesnar hasn’t been on WWE TV since SummerSlam LAST year, when he lost to Cody Rhodes and actually showed respect to his opponent post-match. He got embroiled in the Vince McMahon scandal, and WWE played it safe by not having him back during all this time.

People talking about slaying a beast on Raw. Are we about to see Lesnar back on TV for the first time in over a year?

It’s been long enough now that Brock Lesnar could make his return to WWE, and doing so at Crown Jewel would be big for the event. While we teased Goldberg being the one to come out and cost Gunther his match against Cody Rhodes, we can also envision a scenario where The Beast Incarnate is the one to confront the WWE World Champion, setting up the stage for a massive showdown that rumored for earlier this year.
