Dylan Dreyer Is Celebrating Exciting Career News and ‘Today’ Fans Couldn’t Be Happier

Two years after the Today show star released her debut children’s book Misty the Cloud: A Very Stormy Day, she took to Instagram to reveal the latest installment in the series. As she opened up a box alongside her oldest son Calvin, she disclosed that her upcoming third book Misty the Cloud: Fun Is in the Air. is set to be released on May 2. But that’s not all she revealed one year after her second book came out. Alongside it being a new title in her literary empire, parents can also buy it as a part of Penguin Random House’s bestselling Step Into Reading program.

“IT’S HERE!!! We’re continuing our Misty the Cloud series … this time with a level 2 Step Into Reading!” Dylan wrote on April 12. “I’m so beyond proud as we’ve worked the science right into this book. And hearing Calvin read it himself is music to my ears! I hope you’ll check it out along with all our Misty books!!”

When news broke about the meteorologist’s latest venture back into writing, Today show fans couldn’t wait to congratulate Dylan. They immediately flooded her Instagram with kind words on her next step in her author journey.

As Dylan mentioned, Misty the Cloud: Fun Is in the Air is a step 2 for readers “who recognize familiar words and can sound out new words with help.” Kids picking up this book can “use basic vocabulary and short sentences to tell simple stories.” For parents wondering, the upcoming release is recommended for preschool level to first grade and up.
